The Chick-F-Lay mustard is great. You don't need the batter.

I only fry fish two ways, either coat with regular French's Mustard or French's creole mustard, then batter with a mix of 3 parts corn meal 1 part flour & throw em in the fryer.

Wasabi works well. Thin it with a little worcestershire sauce.

Cornmeal and salt is the only way. Mustard is for a hamburger.

My Uncle always used French's Mustard on his white bass before battering and for white bass they were very good.

I used some freshens mustard on a batch of fish and by mistake grabbed a bag of the Louisiana supreme meal with lemon and I was shocked at how good it was. Going to make another round this weekend.

I use regular yellow mustard mixed with some liquid crab boil, then coat with fish fry. Greatness!

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

I think the yellow mustard out of the bottle is too thick to use. I thin it down with Louisiana hot sauce then dredge in flavored corn meal. It gives the fish a nice kick.
