My wife & I had been looking after our nephews last week while they were on Summer break a few days so I asked if anyone was interested in doing any fishing. Unanimous decision....... we left to Lavon mid afternoon that day to find some shad. Stopped by a boat ramp and the bait was there on the ramp  . Headed back by the house to grab the bank gear, snacks, etc. and we got set-up on the bank about an hour before sundown. Got my wife & the kids set-up with lighter gear fishing with hooker shad under corks around some trees while I got the bank rods set-up and they ended up catching some nice channel cats and a drum. Once the sun went down, the blue cat bite picked up rather quickly. Several waves of quality blues moved through and it ended up being a crazy night of bankfishing. We started off with a 19, followed by a 42, then Oscar tied his PB with a 16. Another wave moved through about an hour later and Axel & Danny shared in fighting a 23lbr. A little while later Axel reeled in his new personal best of 15lbs . After a few more nice fish landed we started to run low on bait and as we were starting to get ready to get ready to go home, one more rod took off and Danny finished the night with his new PB of 20lbs. We finished the night with a 19-42-16-23-15-15-18-20, about a 7lb eater blue ,2 channels and a drum. Fished probably 10-11ft using shad, perch and drum for bait. Definitely a fun night of fishing and was great getting to see my nephews reel in some quality fish ! Oscar's PB of 16  Danny and Axel sharing the fight for a 23lbr!  Axel's new 15lb PB  Danny's new 20lb PB  42lbr

That is a nice job. Maybe I can drop my two kids off for a couple of days and you can turn them into bank fishing masters.
