Much less of a concern than a trail with no championship and entry fees that give everything 2nd thought. Platinum is setup more for jackpotters than Champs or TTT. Everstart has started to become a jackpotter too and will get worse unless they get entires up. Prefish and because they don't fill just enter if on money fish. Not my style, but perfectly fine if that's the way series is. At least Platinum should fill up ahead of time.

I hear Upward is starting a fishing trail for anglers that are scared of jackpotters. Ribbons for everyone!

How do you figure that platinum is more for jackpotters than the other ones. If you don't fish all I doubt you will get in any.

True, we'll see where entries come in and how many fish all four. Not requiring series entry, high entry fee, and brush pile tournaments are just more conducive to jackpotters. The schedule doesn't suit me anyway, so doesn't matter.

Rob,

I am sorry that the schedule for Platinum doesn't work for you. Maybe next year it will fit.

I hear a different definition for "jackpotter" depending on who I ask, but the Platinum Team Trail registration process/criteria was put in place to try and help eliminate "jackpotters," or at least people that only want to fish on the one lake they may be better than others on. Hopefully there will be 100 teams that fish all four tournaments, and the term "jackpotter" won't even come up again.

Yes, I agree. IF you get 100 teams on August 1 that commit to all 4, then the term jackpotter can't be used. Well, unless its a known jackpotter that steps up and pays his fees for all 4 then happens to win the one on his home lake...then Katy-bar-the-door.

"He's a jackpotter."
"He didn't abide by the off limits."
"He cheated the polygraph."

LOL. I can't wait for December 6. This is going to a fun deal to be part of and/or watch!

I think 100 is great and you should fill up with just series entries, I'm afraid business sense overrules and there will be a sliding scale of entries. You always want x - 1 spots available where x is demand.

I am so confused on what the rule is for jackpotters.

Is it okay for jackpotters to fish in tournaments, just as long as they don't win the tournaments?

A fair comparison, and to the point I think you are trying to make, would be to take all of the teams that only fished one or two events and compare that to the total number of entries.

The top few places are determined by who has the best tournament, and this "jackpotter" argument seems to assume that jackpotters are better at certain lakes just because they like to fish that lake.

I'll settle this!! I'll start a new thread on the definition of a jackpotter. I'm certain we'll all agree on that one, too.
