I just joined the PA12 ranks and had my maiden voyage out at White Rock yesterday. I had a dilemma on how to store it in my garage. I did not want to have to use a pulley system, so came up with this idea: Build list: 4 4x4 26" with 5 degree cut on one end 4 2x4 50" 6 2x4 30.5" (two are across the bottom for optional caster support) 2 2x6 55" 4 jumbo pool noodles 55" 4 3/4" PVC cut 55" (insert into pool noodles for added support) 4 5" heavy duty casters I would also recommend making the 4x4 length 24" and use 4" casters (also make sure at least two of them are locking casters). As is, it is a little too tall for working on the yak, but great height for loading onto my roof rack.

Interesting. That's not a bad idea.

I am replacing two of the casters with locking versions. The 5" non-braking ones were only $9.99 each. Discovered that brakes trump cheap price.

Nice! I like the height, you can side it off the rack right into the back of the truck, and easy to move out of the way inside the garage.

Very nice. I like the idea.

You have inspired me, built the cart but went with PVC, get the 2015 Hobie PA 12 this week, boat show deals are on! Now, just have to decide on a color! Sold my NuCanoe, originally bought with expectations of taking the kids out more often, that really didn't happen. So many times though I did not go out due to wind and the Frontier 12 being tough to paddle at times. PA will solve that problem and I can still take my 4 yr old daughter along sometimes.
