What's he best lake, and possibly guide to tune up you flipping/pitching game?

My flipping has been off as of late, don't really know how to explain it other than I've had a bunch of fish get off after the hookset recently. Loosing fish before they get to the boat, my flipping and pitching game used to be one of my strongest points but something's just off now.

My local lake you don't get a whole lot of bites so it's hard to tune up when you need to make every one count.

I have never used a guide before, but I'm open to the possibility. My fishing partners can't see anything wrong with anything I'm doing. So I am at aloss.

I got a new rod a while back and lost a really good fish at the boat and think my mentality is just off now.

Worrying with every hook set if I'll get it into the boat.

Any ideas? What would you do to get back in the groove??

Google did t provide much info on his guiding service or availibilty.
Lots of info on his tournament standings etc but not much in the way of guiding that I could find.

Saw a link for angler acadamy but no real info.

It could be the new rod. When I bought a 7'3" MH duckett white magic to flip trigs with I started losing fish ALOT. Went back to my old rod and had zero problems. That 7'3" just don't have enough backbone. I took it off and bought me a 7'6" KLX and have never had a problem with it. I haven't touched that duckett in almost a year now due to fact I don't trust it.

I thought maybe so too, and went back to my old rod and landed some fish.

But still missing some, even with it. I let my partner use it since it had what I was catching fish on last t and he boated fish with it.

So I don't know if it's the rod per say, but more of my lack of confidence flipping since I first started having issues.

I've tried everything I know to do, changed hooks etc Tryin to get my groove back and just seem to be in a funk.

I think the best thing would be now to go somewhere, anywhere where I can get alot of bites to tune back up and get the confidence back

I sent Clark a link to this thread. He can teach you a LOT! In 10 minutes of talking to him at Fork, years ago- it increased my flipping tenfold! That was when there was all that alligator weed along the banks on the local lakes. I increased my hookup ratios 2:1! Just off one small tip he gave me. He's fishing at "that" level for a reason. He's told me stuff about fish on docks, related to just wind/clouds/sun and its amazing. And nothing to do with "shade" on the dock.
