We had a tough time with the cold water finding fish. A couple of teams were lucky enough to hit the right holes and got good stringers. Ended up with 7 teams as alot backed out due to water temps.

1st place with 147.29 and 5 fish, went to Team Roughnecks.

2nd place with 140.38 and 4 fish, went to team Noonday noodlers. They also had big fish of 49.07.

3rd place went to team Yella bellies with 2 fish and 68.34

we had 4th with 1 fish 33.16

5th was Poyner noodlers with 16.47

2 teams did not wiegh.

What lake?

Held the weigh in on Palestine. Most guys fished local. I fished Palestine and water was running about 64 to 66 at the dam end. Hitting 74 or so shallow up lake mid day. But man you talk about cold at night. Water in the 60s, air temp in the 60s, boat speed in the 60s. It adds up to about 60 shivers a second.lol. I would have hit some other stuff dam, but lake levels are so low my holes are holdin possums instead of fish.

I hear ya! So wouldn't the shortage of holes because of the low lake levels delay the spawn? What are your thoughts?

No sir, it might decrease it some. But Palestine was full pool and it was tough. I hit over a couple hundred holes that will hold a 40+ and found only one fish. I did pull up on the second place team fishing one of my favorite spots, and I believe he said that hole had a couple of 30s in it. Just have to win the race sometimes. I checked it the first eve and nobody was home. Kinda leads me to believe it was just gettin started good. Water temp kinda backs that as well. The one fish we did pull was a male that had just started building. didn't even have the nest bellied out good yet. I checked on ccreek as well and the water was way to low to fish my good stuff and I would have had to hunt. That's not a good thing when you are on the clock.

Yes sir, pretty sore and beat up for only one fish. I think I'm sore from shivering so much.

It was either, however, all fish were released.

Yup, all in home waters. Had 4 biologists and 4 gwardens there. It was handled correctly. Won't give all locations as I don't want to give up other guys fishing locations.
