I went down to Lake fort Phantom last week and caught a limit of crappie Thursday and Friday. Most crappie are females and some females have already spawned out. The fishing is excellent right now in the shallows around rocks. I camped at the honey hole and someone caught a 1.9 pound crappie off of the Honey Holes crappie dock! If your looking for a place to stay or fish the Cheek family at the Honey Hole are great people and will take care of you. They also sell crappie minnows and their crappie dock has lights on it for night time fishing. The spawn is in full swing and now is the time to get on the water.
