This Man is responsible for hooking me on striper fishing. His name is Ezell Cox and he is former mayor of New Tazwell TN. He is the best striper fisherman I have ever known. He educated me in how to catch my big fish. If you ever want a TN striper experience Ezell is the man to see. He is a great guy and guide. Like many of us Ezell has a passion for fishing second to none. His name is pronounced EEEzell.

Ezell's personal best is 62 pounds and some ounces. This is more of an average trophy size fish he catches in the spring time. I have seen a lot of very large fish caught in East Tennessee this year. I am going up to TN the first of May to take a shot at them. Some years I find the big ones and some years I don't. You won't know unless you try.

I caught one like that the other day at Tawakoni. I was trolling a beetlespin through the birds. I didn't have my camera that day so no pics.

Seriously though good luck when you go back this month. Hope you catch a couple like that or bigger!

Norris Lake is his home lake and he also fishes Cherokee Lake and the other lakes in the area, Watts Bar, Melton Hill, Fort Loudon or any other that has stripers.
