We had a good evening of fishing yesterday. We started taking pics once we figured out it was going to be a pig day. Had 2 more whales that come loose but man!

This lake is a goldmine of huge bass if your savvy with them. There are several spots that you do not even have to move to catch 25 to 30 lbs easily on the right day.

I've been spending most of my time on the Austin Bass Fishing forum where people actually post fishing reports. I can get photos of bass on Google. I know what those look like. Any info on water temp, depths the fish were caught, etc. Nice photoshopping on the photo so people can't see where you were fishing. Really smooth.

I would like to see pics of that easy 25-30 lds sack when you do it... Frisbie the lake is not that big not hard to find good fish this time of year. I like that lake it can be good with buzz bait, fluke, jerk bait, wackey rig.

Much appreciated Grant2. That's some solid intel. Catching a 25-30# sack with just 3 or 4 fish is common on Lake Austin. I just got the Catch and Release record for Lake Travis a few weeks ago for Largemouth Bass. Should be updated on the TPWD web site by end of month. Coleto is a 3 hour drive for me, and I don't get out these much. A real fishing report is always appreciated and not some pics of 5# bass to promote guide services.

Also, it's really bad for the bass to hold them by their lip when they are that size. It can easily dislocate their lower jaw. Just a little FYI.

No need to bash others for posting pictures of their catch, and if someone doesn't want to post where, when, and how, then it's their choice, and it isn't mandatory on this forum or any others that I know of.
Demanding that people post accurate reports just because you think they should isn't going to fly very well no matter what forum you get on.
Take a deep breath, relax and do some research and that means read the older posts. That should keep you busy for a long time, and you will gather a ton of information that will help you and any other new anglers to the sport, to become better fishermen.

Actually, other forums will remove posts that are not in the correct category.

Full spawn going on. They will eat anything you throw.

Here is your 25+ stringer Grant2 that you wanted pics of something that can`t be done at coleto eh? Also on this forum we have a 5 fish limit of 32+ so there ya go. We did not take a pic of the 4 lb fish but you get the idea for 3.5 hrs of fishing. Happens for us a lot but it is what it is right smile

6 lb 14oz, 5 lb 13 oz, 6 lbs, 5 lb 10 oz, 4 lb(no pic)

Never said it could not be done just not easy for people that don't know the lake. I'm sure for guys that fish it almost everyday they find those kind of sacks but for the weekend angler no.

You are correct Grant2 and there is a reason for it. What 99% don`t have is the patients to stay in one spot for more then 30 minutes without a bite more less 8 hrs in a tourney and and not move when fish are there and not biting. this is the downfall and demise of many fishermen at Coleto Creek.

Dude love the post about Austin fishing forum. Not a lot of info given out on that site, so give the guy a break with all the comparison. Beside coleto is a great little secret and I prefer to keep that secret from all the tree hugging Birkenstocks from Austin. Haha
