I saw it at academy. Has no self bailing, no dry storage, you sit deep inside of it not so much on top. And there's a stupid hatch right under your Johnson when you sit down. Not a fan however some may like it

Yeah that's where I saw it...it just looks different has no scupper holes but does have a nice adjustable back rest. It looks like it'd be harder to get in and out than my pescador which is higher riding at the seat

I saw it too at my Academy today. I sat in it (I'm a big guy 6'2 275) on the floor and loved it. I liked how I sat in it. I wasn't so sure about the absence of scuppers but I can see why they weren't there. It sits so low in the cockpit, the boat would fill with water. Thought the dry hatch was just stupid. Wasn't too bent out of Shape about no dry storage. Truth be told, I am considering buying this. I too couldn't find any info about it when I got home.

Kinda sounds like the old Mad River Synergy... Not a terrible boat at all... Kinda look like this? Maybe perception got hold of that mold? Anyhow... Self bailing is definitely a good thing. But after paddling the commander now for over a year I gotta say that it's nice knowing that there aren't scuppers slowly failing over time beneath me... Sure I'll never be taking it BTB but the long term durability of non scuppered boats might make them the better choice for some people...
