Who would you say their competition is ? In my opinion they are in competition with every boat out there as many are making the move over to Phoenix . Fit and finish are second to only maybe Legend in my book . I just got out of a Bass Cat Jaguar and into a Phoenix 921 and I will just say I love this boat . The jag is a great boat also but man this Phoenix is really impressive . Dad has a Ranger and the ride , speed and handling do not even compare . He would have been soaked if he had crossed the lake I did yesterday without so much as even getting a little spray . If you haven't been for a ride in a Phoenix do yourself a favor and try to do so .

I recently bought another boat (Ranger Z21 of course Lol) and I did consider the Pheonix but I was unimpressed with 1/2" misalignment of the deck lids and subpar fit and finish (my opinion). So I did do myself a favor and bought my second Ranger.

Not to get off topic, but as far as the "overpriced" comments, yes they are all overpriced. However, they are priced to what the market will bear. Blame the consumer, not the manufacturer.

I think everyone can pretty much come to a common ground that boats along with any type of product in today's economy is overpriced. Rule is you get what you pay for to an extent. Have to make the best of it. Im not to harsh a critic by any means, boats and trucks a like, it comes down to personal opinion. At some point or another I have been in every major boat brand except a phoenix, which is why I am curious. They certainly have seemed to gain the attention and respect of many.

I am going to be in the market in a year or two. The Phoenix bass boats are some that have caught my eye. The only thing that scares me is there aren't any out there that are 13-15 years old and still holding up. Whatever boat I buy it will be very long term. I wish we knew what they were going to be like when they are older.

I have owned a Phoenix boat for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I could sit here and list all the reasons I didn't like the other brands to boost my moral about my decision but I think Phoenix can stand on its own when it comes to design, performance, quality and customer service. I was concerned about their longivity in the market place but after doing extensive research, I really liked the way they entered the market and continue to grow with a conservative business model. The best advise I can give you is to test drive a Phoenix and decide for yourself. I have talked to a lot of potential buyers about my experience with Phoenix and would be glad to pass along what I have learned. Just send me a pm. Good luck with your search.

In terms of Phoenix or any other bassboat brand being overpriced I agree. I believe we will see another correction in the not too distant future, maybe 3 or 4 years from now. I think it's coming. Maybe sooner.

The 619 Pro on paper looks like a good package deal.

Almost 20 ft and put a 200 on it and you should be good to go anywhere.

Like you, my home lakes are Rayburn and Toledo. The rough water ride was the biggest selling point for me buying a Phoenix. I've had 3 now (2 721s and a 920). Like others have said, take one for a ride and the boat sells itself. If you want to go for a ride in my 920, let me know.

I think those Phoenix boats are pretty nice. Every boat brand has something a little different than others, and they all have something that'll make you say "man that's cool" or "hmmm... that's weird." And there are some boats that can make you say both of those things at once. There are a lot of nice boat brands on the market nowadays, and they all have nice things to offer. It's all just a personal preference. I think you should look into each one and see what you like. Since you're looking into getting a Phoenix, go take a ride in one. Good luck on your search! thumb
