Are you allowed to throw a cast net outside the barge??

Ok. Here it goes on the cast net. If I am working I do not have a problem with it now if the other guy are working they most likely say no. The boss said no cast nets and said he would make a sign for up the. I have never saw the sign. So I just let it happen.


The only rule is to be respectfully of the fishermen out there and don't throw with in 15 yards of them.

how crowded is it out there. was thinking of taking the boys (9 and 7) out there tomorrow. No school and nuttin to do. Gonna be to windy to take the boat out. Do yall sale minnows there? Ive got a couple packs of white and chartruse jigs.... I'm not much of a crappie fisherman.

We do sell minnows. And it being a holiday it my be packed with the way fishing has been.

There is one thing I don't enjoy at the barge: People smoke inside there. There are people who do not smoke, and there are children and women too. I hope there will be a sign like anywhere in the public use area: "NO SMOKING!"

I hear ya, CrazyFisherman! Just the other night, I was fishing inside cause it was really cold. I'm minding my own business and trying to enjoy my cigar, but I couldn't because those damn cigarette smokers green-housed the place and their nasty smelling smoke just killed the arouma of my Flor De Los Antilles! How can anyone enjoy a good cigar in a place that smells like cigarette smoke?

Update. Me and some of my buddy's fished last night. We did ok. I got about 13 keeper crappie no hybrids few and sand bass. Did not stay to late to see if they came in. Over all it was slower then the last week or two. But still good.


Sorry about the smoking I don't like it but it is the way it is right now. Maybe one day if we cook food again we will not have smoking inside anymore.
