Does anyone know where I can get some Bob Young jig heads?

I'm asking for a friend who is trying to locate a source.

Thanks

Mr Young died. His Widow Ms Ellie is still making a few. She has been sick lately also. I had her phone number but can't find it now. I waited almost a month for a few jigs from her back in November. A lot of people swear by his jigs. I personally could not tell they were any better than some of the other ones available on line, or some of the ones I have been making myself.

My friend said his wife wasn't making any jigs now so I appreciate all your replies and info on these jigs. I will pass this on to my friend.

I had a guy from Alabama send me a few jig heads that looked like these and asked me to replicate them. All I did was take a ball head jig and cut the nose to a "V" and it looked just like his.

Here is the Channelock Dikes I use

here is what it looks like after the cut

Maybe I am totally off base but this is what I was asked to reproduce and I'm not even sure it is the same as the Bob Young jig heads.

I hope this helps.

His heads were sure different as I have had one in my hands before. I don't think it really matters though as I have made a lot of guys the same style with either a round head or some with a minnow head and they have come back for more and told me they work just great.

I have made so many with that style and see no end to guys wanting them.

Those look like the jigs i have. Bought them at lake Fork marina many years ago. Bob Young jigs were the best back then. My fishing partner bought me and him several hundred back in the day.

I've seen how Bob made em. I've cut em off the sprue. Bob was who taught me how to crappie fish. There's some folks damn close to his but I've never seen the same thing. Millie wouldn't sell me the mold before she moved back to MN but I don't blame her. He has several folks tying jigs for him when he got sick and I could pick out his and here from the bunch any day of the week!! RIP Bob!! Save some slabs for me upstairs!!

You guys sure right about Bob being a great jig man. The flefly is not a look but where the weight is put on a hook. The man who has it now is from Ok. and the one of his company's is name flefly. He can be looked up and look at his jigs and you can see the bent hook and all from the olds. this ONE DOES NOT HANG UP AS BAD, good PEOPLE AND I HAVE FISHED THIS JIG ALL OF MY LIFE SEEMS LI8K.
