Had the chance today to fish with 2 of my sons and my father in-law. Cold morning starting out. 31 degrees grin Launched with 48 degree water temp. Not many people out today grin Good day with the family, several 6/7 lb hybrids, One weighed in at 8.4. 35 FOW water was best ticket today. Caught a few decent sandies too, pretty aggresive to hit a 7" fluke. Yep, i was "swinging" for the bleachers with the larger flukes. Most were released, but did keep the sandies and a couple hybrids for the grill.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Nice fish. I will bring a rope to tie up next time so you can pull me around. Glad the family had a good time!

Thanks, but It wasn't easy, it was a slow day. Nothing real grouped up, besides sandies. Hybrids are small groups and still moving quite a bit. You will Catch a couple, and then have search and keep moving.

My first advise is watch the wind tomorrow if your going to benbrook.......If it holds true, who knows really, it could change several times before morning grin
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php...97.4612&e=0

With a south wind of 10-15 and gusts to 20mph, actually add about 10 to both and you will come closer to the actual wind forecast. Benbrook gets tough with a south wind. That and being 21 degrees tomorrow morning, its gonna be a beating. I re-scheduled my trip tomorrow due to low temps and the stiff south wind.

But, if your set on going, You will have to use your graph, they are spread out in small groups, catch a couple and then have to move. I would start looking in and around 30/35 FOW. Slow presentation, either fluke or a slab. I was playing around with the 7" fluke, you can downsize to a 5 or 4" and have better luck. When you think your presentation is slow enough.Slow down some more. grin As stated earlier start looking in and around 30/35 FOW off of humps and long points on the north end, They will be suspended around 25 foot. You need to also check the tree lines on the east side.

But, once again.most importantly watch the wind and be careful.

Good luck, hope you wear them out.

Thanks for the advise, might reschedule for friday if it looks any better. Are the aerators bubbling by the dam?
