lol funny comin from somebody who spends a lot of time in the carp section where they banned talking about bow fishing because y'all don't like it even though it is legal.

Yeah try going over there and talk about chopping one up. They'll try to have a hit put out on you for harming a fish.

ok, 25 hooks only takes about 300ft of line. I use a full roll of line. #48 I think. Do it how you like. Just told you how I do it. Cath a few decent fish, you will figure out what works for you. Sorry guys, I thought this was a catfishing forum, not just for guides and $$$tourney fishermen.

Since I'm neither I'll assume you're not speaking to me directly.

When I used to run a set line I did mine like you describe.

Why would you cath a fish?

I have a pitchfork tied to a rope, what I do is throw out some bread until I see a carp come up and I spear him with the pitchfork and pull him in. makes good trotline bait!

Look for lillypads, hydrilla, and other obvious vegetation. Set the trotline about 8" deep right in front of this vegetation. Use you favorite bait fish for bait.

This kind of area holds fish and bait regularly. Plus if you "forget" your line in the lake a bass fisherman will kindly remove it for you within a week or two.
