 Lowrance Graph Help Needed

I purchased the Lowrance Elite 5x DSI graph a few months ago and I had it installed with the transducer that came with it. I seem to be only getting a sonar view and not the actual Down Imaging view so am I missing something??

I have the options to change the background color on my graph but the the images seem to be only the quality of sonar and not the Down Imaging

You sure it's not an Elite 5x instead of Elite 5x dsi?

Did you try going to menu and switching the Frequency to 800Hz ?

yes I have I just didnt know if there was more to just buying this graph n hooking it up. I have just been told that with down imaging you should actually be able to see the spacing between fish and find brush easier.

What I've seen on the YouTube videos is that the contrast and color have A LOT to do with it. They say Sepia is popular. You may fiddle around with that.

IDK, but I've had mine since January and like you said, it gave me great, photo-like images right outta the box. I have the E5 DSI w/GPS, mounted on my TM with the TM adaptor. Keith (Creamlevel Creek Kennels) mounted his on the TM, with the "Skimmer" mount that came with it and as far as I know, he gets really good images too. That's a head-scratcher!

check in your settings and make sure the label on the transducer cable is the same one its reading instead of generic.

I don't think the elite 5x DSI has the ability to do traditional sonar. I think you purchased the elite 5x. Oops...
