I have found a rod that is import that I believe would make one fine dock shooting rod but I also found a USA made Falcon rod that would do just as good. I am feeling guilty for considering the import rod. What do you guys think?

proanglertackle.com makes a great dock shooting rod. Not only made in the USA, but even better made in TEXAS. All their stuff is great quality and durable, they also have great customer service

No guilt. Competition is a good thing. Buy the one you like best.

Fair competition is a good thing. Utilizing labor one step above slaves to undersell your competition is not. Buy American.

Those poor quasi-slave laborers, you're going to take away their jobs and they'll have to go back to the shacks and the farms. (Just kidding and adding drama for fun). We all make emotional decisions, nothing wrong with made in the USA.

Falcon is a good brand, so are the imports for the most part. Buy the rod you like, we live in a world economy now.

I know may seem like the overseas labor is cheap to us but remember it raises their standard of living too.

Im all for buying American as much as possable, but it is sure hard to do when most things are made overseas now a days.I love the Pro Angler Rods myself and have 10 of them and would recommend them to anyone, also love the sickle hooks and use them in my tackle building everyday, but if you look at them they both say MADE IN CHINA so with that whats a fisherman to do but use what they like.Still go with the Buy American when you can.Just mt two cents worth.

My favorite rods are the ones on sale. I have a G-Loomis(I paid $50 each for 2 of them), several Shimano Crucial rods($12 each new) and a truckload of All-Star rods($7 each new) stuff is gonna happen and rods will eventually break. Don't let a $300 rod ruin a trip--you break a $6 rod and who cares.

If you really want a Falcon check Academy--they have the original ones on sale now and you can find them for $19.88 often.
