I have found a rod that is import that I believe would make one fine dock shooting rod but I also found a USA made Falcon rod that would do just as good. I am feeling guilty for considering the import rod. What do you guys think?

No guilt. Competition is a good thing. Buy the one you like best.

Those poor quasi-slave laborers, you're going to take away their jobs and they'll have to go back to the shacks and the farms. (Just kidding and adding drama for fun). We all make emotional decisions, nothing wrong with made in the USA.

Falcon is a good brand, so are the imports for the most part. Buy the rod you like, we live in a world economy now.
I know may seem like the overseas labor is cheap to us but remember it raises their standard of living too.

My favorite rods are the ones on sale. I have a G-Loomis(I paid $50 each for 2 of them), several Shimano Crucial rods($12 each new) and a truckload of All-Star rods($7 each new) stuff is gonna happen and rods will eventually break. Don't let a $300 rod ruin a trip--you break a $6 rod and who cares.

If you really want a Falcon check Academy--they have the original ones on sale now and you can find them for $19.88 often.
