Your going to find that allot in the small ponds.
Some like me harvest fish but to the size limits of the regs I for one only take home fish from large lakes for the most part any more. Small ponds get hit so hard thats why I was amazed at the size of bass that you got at south lakes.
I take home catfish from that pond as it is stocked during the summer to the point that it is overstocked. Sorry to say that someone is going to get that bass and it will go home just a matter of time. Good on you to put it back.

Now I ask anyone have you called the game warden and got the them guys busted for over limits and under size?

FB i saw a guy that had several large bass and a bunch of small bass in a bucket and a cooler of bee next to him {he was already drunk} i ask him what the @#$$ he was doing and he said he could keep as many as he wanted ..... i dumped his bucket into the lake , grabbed his rod out of his hand and threw that in the lake too !!!!he said who are you and i said im the last guy your going to see before you learn to walk again !!!! i get really pissy about that stuff. let us know about the results on the fish

ok just have to say i went to lake x today and had a fish hit my rattle trap and started pulling like a truck, i was using 20lb floro on a 7'6 duckett mh i never could turn this fish and it was making waves and buried in the grass and came off. I have plenty of dd's under my belt to know this fish was up there i haven't had a bass strip drag like that in a long time as my reels all have carbon fiber drags setting at around 20lb . Men the time is near to release the krakens and get the fall big gurls on the hooks !!!!!!!!!

Timmha, I'm on fishing restrictions from the wife for a few days, but when I get off I'm gonna have to make the drive so you can show me how it's done lol. And I got that reel ready for ya lol.

I am going BIG BASS hunting in the morning.

Two days ago I saw with my own eyes a 10 plus pound bass swim by my boat, I am going after her.

Thats my fish, I saw her first ha ha.... When I saw her she was in the same spot you saw her, she was watching a school of 5-6 huge gizzard shad dart in and out of the weeds. She was stalking them.

I named her Sally. Go get her dude.

You guys work too hard, I'll just wait until shes on a bed for the spawn and just pluck her right off her bed. Like stealing candy from a baby

I wouldn't go in this wind either...its blowing like crazy out there.

The wind was brutal and it screwed up the fishing.

We boated some dinks and missed a few big ones.

Yes that wind sucked today spent more time trying to keep the boat on things then catching fish but did find the crappie and one nice bass. CR was done. I hit 4 ponds today bank and boat.

I so rarely catch bass from Mesquite City Lake Park that I had started moving the fish I catch from south mesquite creek ( I figure it can renew itself) to the City Lake Park but after watching some folks take and keep some little 6-7 inch bass I stopped . I just couldn't take that I finally had them spawning and some fools weren't giving them a chance to grow.
