 This picture was taken from hwy 66 coming out of Rockwall, looking west. The 66 boat ramp is now where the house is, on the right. Some of those tree stumps are still there.

My grandfather took them in 1942. I think the east fork of the trinity was 20 something ft. above flood stage. The levee broke and made a lake for a while.
