I fish all of the ponds, creeks, and small lakes in Dallas. From the bank. Anybody know any good spots to catch a lot of them? Also what baits and action on them do I use?

Thank you

By the end of October you should be able to get them in the creeks at any of the lakes.

actually will start earlier then most think if you want to fish the mouths of the creeks before they make their move into the creeks. Forget who it was i think rudy catching them at bachman before they head up the creeks, also late nights as well. Im catching most of mine now in 4-7ft 4ft down but fishing a small pond and can get to them by wading and hitting the drop offs and wind blown banks. Just have to experiment on the lake your on and get experience on it on where they go. Just remember the smaller body of water and lower water levels right now and of course depth of the pond or lake put that together and it will cool or warm in the spring faster then a big lake. My crappie season is usually around 2 1/2 months long in the spring cause of this. Cedar creek is around 1 1/2 months depending on the area of the lake your fishing in the spring.
Hope it helps

Search Youtube for crappie fishing in Dallas and see what come up. There is a vid by a guide from Oklahoma that spills the beans.

Some of the canals and lakes in Las Colinas have good crappie populations.

There are many fishing spots in the metroplex. Get you a pound or so of minnows and have at it. Send me a pm of where you live and I can put you in the right direction. Many people don't want you fishing there hole dry but I have been sharing my spots for years and still catch when I go.
