Ok folks, it's plastic navy helping the community time again. http://www.riseadventures.org/end-of-summer-bash-sponsorship-deck-2012/A lot of you know the drill & have participated before & it'd be great to have you out there again. For any of you new folks that have never done this, you should give it a try. We'll be taking people with various disabilities out for some kayaking at lake Grapevine, Meadowmere Park. Many of their participants have kayaked before but a lot of them are and may even be first timers. I'm proud to say that with our volunteer force we have NEVER turned away someone wanting to give it a try REGARDLESS of their disability level. Some folks want to go on their own, others want an experienced kayaker near by and others prefer to go out tandem with an experienced kayaker, we fix 'em up howvere they prefer to try. If your on the fence about volenteering for this please come out to help. The feeling of seeing the looks on these kiddos faces when they get in the kayaks will stay with you forever.

Also, not that anyone should need to or feel incentivized. The Thompson Group @ Classic Chevy will cover 1/2 the entry fee for the GTG fishing tournament for the 1st 15 volunteers at the RISE event if they are fishing the tourney as well. I'll also do the same for up to 5 of our HOW vets that want to participate as well. Would love to see some of the success stories from the program winning the tournament!

I will swing through Plano and get Kolaches again this year since Jason whined about it this spring... I may only be able to bring 1 boat this year, have not found a full aftermarket rack for my new ride just yet.
