On Saturday and Sunday I had Travis Senior, from Aldine, and Junior from San Marcos out for a weekend of fishing on Lake Somerville. The gates are open and letting water out of the lake right now, so the lake is dropping just under an inch a day. I saw some crappie fishermen that said they had gotten eighteen crappie on jigs, but not sure if that included the throw backs or not.
My total catch on my boat for the year is running about 400 behind last years pace, current total 5577. That total puts me just 300 fish shy of reaching 30,000 fish caught on my boat during the last 5 years.
Saturday the bite was very slow, resulting in several moves trying to find a bite. They ended the morning with 22 cats.
Sunday we fished in a better wind and fished different spots, stopping at two spots. They ended Sunday morning at
11am with 50 cats.
All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, some under cork, some on tight line, in 4-18 foot water.
Saturdays 22 cats

Sunday 50 cats
