timmha,

If you are airbrushing, there are a couple of products you may be interested in, KG GunKoat and Duracoat. I've used them both for refinishing firearms. Both give a super thin coating and have passed rigorous salt-water testing. The military uses these a lot for their firearms, so it's really durable stuff, and very easy to use.

the paint i use is apliance epoxy which is hard as powder coat and comes out flawless because its self leveling. for metal flack and custom patterns i coat it with flex coat epoxy which is chip resistant and light weight

I think I am going to paint my reel now.

That second pic looks great and I want my reel to look like that.

Titus I do it myself it's easy to do there are allot of videos on it . I did allot of it when I raced r/c . I have also used the anodizing paint from auto zone , but with that route you have to clear it or it will flake But any plating shop can do it.

timmha,
I will be looking to have several reels done. I am retired army and would like something based around the 101st engineers also one like the red one you have displayed. I like to know what you charge.

Thanks,
shayne

Shayne a olive drab flat with 101st logo on one side and rank on the other in black would look cool . Price depends on reel and prep work but for a retired serviceman we can work something out
