Thanks "Tun3R"! Did not see any Carp. We usually see a couple of huge ones in both the SA River and the Salado. We did see several large Channels but they would not bite.

Did you tried fishing around backenridge ? I have seen some huge rios around their guarding their nest . I was lucky enough to hook a big one few months back. I will probbably try fishing there one of these days for carps as well .

I talked with a park employee and he said there was a big fish kill about a month ago due to all of the run off hitting the river at one time. I did not know what he meant by that other than a lot of fish had died off. I checked out several spots inside the park and did not see one fish.

We seriously need some good outdoor news networks to cover updates around San Antonio rivers/lakes and fishery . The place was loaded with nice carps/gills/tilapias & let's not forget huge bass . I have seen folks pulling out 6pound bass off those lily pads.

Go figure about there not being any news. Any way in given time the fish will make a strong come back. It's funny just outside the park I saw a lot of fish including several nice Bass!

One of these days most likely sunday i will fish that area. About to head to Calaveras lake hopefully we will catch some gills i know my buddy did castnetted some real fat gills on shore few weeks back ! He brought them home as well just cause they were fat like those tilapias.

I had a great time fishing with you today Chuck.. thank you for everything We really enjoyed the overcast skies as it never really got unbearably hot As Banker said we saw a bruiser of a channel cat that just could not be enticed to strike Great friend, great fishing and great burger [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img]
