Ok, I got the numbers off of my cables today which were 3992617. My question would be that I can't really find much info on this serial number online. From what I did gather is that they were possibly 17 ft cables judging from the last two digits. My question is that my motor is a 2002 Mercury outboard saltwater, and I'm thinking that they are possibly a gen 2 type cable(which I thought were newer). Can anyone judge by this picture and see if these would match up with a CC18917 cable shown in this link or should I look around more? Any help is greatly appreciated. Here is the link on the CC18917http://www.marineengine.com/products/accessory.php?in=3464517Here is a pic of the cables on my engine (sorry about the bad pics).

The gen two cables are gray in color your cables are more than likely Teleflex and the last two digits is the length which is 17.....OPTI
