Ok, its not for me, but for the better half, and beats the price of a bimini top right now.

It was too easy, thanks out to Bobby, Pepop and Steel man for the ideas

Looking good Rick. I bet when it's a 100* out there and Mama is not in the boat, the shade makes it's way upfront. wink

They make a cap you can put on the end of the pvc that rubs the carpet. Looks it will swivel enough to cover the cockpit when driving slow side imaging looking for brushpiles.

If its 100+, I won't be out there rolfmao I have a cap, but didn't feel the need. This thing will also fit on its own pole in the center on the front deck, or between the seats like you stated. The possibilities are endless thumb

There is always a nice cool breeze blowing under these things. They make a 10 degree difference, and just the keeping the sun off of you is worth it's weight in gold. We are able to fish until we are ready to quit, instead of going home at 10:30 on 100 degree days of summer.

Here's the one we made:

I built some similar last year, works great, makes a big difference in the heat. Gets most of the dangerous sunrays off you. Keeps you fishin' longer.

It hit 95-97 here today so I would have had to have at least an umbrella and maybe one of those misters hooked up to it to be out today! frkazoid

I can see myself building one of those for my boat. grin

If anyone is interested I actually have a newer white canvas bimini top that I took off of my Pro Team 190 when I bought it. I don't need it and I want it out of my garage. Will sell it for $150 of trade for something. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Nice idea on the umbrella too. Pm me if interested.

Here's mine banana

Also, mind the bridges, I whacked one on Cedar Creek a few weeks back with the umbrella in the upright, closed position and had to repair the console where it ripped out of the floor bang

I built two just like the first one posted on here. Guess I'll be breaking them out of storage pretty soon with the temps reaching triple digits. Only problem I can see is that with both umbrellas open, I'm going to be a sailboat with this dang wind we have had! If you see me skimming across the lake, throw me an anchor!!
