What is the best closed face reel for a woman that doesn't like spin cast reel?

When I was Married, my ex did not like to fish very much but, when she decided to join me, I went out and purchased a Abu-Matic /7ft rod combo. She could sling that thing a Mile! Wench...haha

if they still make the Zebco 33, it would be your best closed face spin'casting reel...

Depends on the size fish she catches.
Numero Uno would be the Zebco Omega.
After that, Zebco 33, 202, 404 or 808.

The 202 is the lightest reel for her. The setback would be the gear ratio it is like a 2.8:1 if you are making alot of cast with it you might get wore out just reeling it in. Even worst would be the increased chances of fish shaking itself off.
You probably just need to spend some time with her in the backyard with a bait caster reel. If my granduaghter could learn to use on at the age of 6 I'm pretty sure who ever it is you are refering too can learn to fish with one. And she will also be able to be more precise with her casting.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

Make a long cast with a bait casting reel, put some black tape around the spool then reel it back in. If she has a backlash it is easy for her to get out and most cast it will just cast off of the spool. Works great for my wife.

Ok, so I am confused. She likes the closed faced reels but doesn't like the spinning reels I'm guessing? I thought closed faced and spin cast were the same

+1 Abu Matic. My daughter has one and loves it...
It will drag in any fish in the lake.
When in doubt, jerk.

I bought a Zebco 33 for whoever can't use a baitcaster and has never used a spinning outfit. It sits unused so thats a good sign.
