This windmill well was drilled more than 50 yrs ago. After 9 months of pulling pipe, losing pipe, bailing and dropping new casing in, we finally have the water flowing again!

In place of the old windmill, we now have a solar pump. It's giving us about 2 1/2 gallons per minute of good old west Texas water. We put the new smaller trough inside the old trough because we're not 100% sure the old one will still hold water. We put a new layer of concrete in the corners. We'll see what happens. I set the game cam up on the trough. We'll see what's coming in...

What brand solar did you go with...and what pump? Everything I have priced recently is WAY high!

How deep is the well and what county?

Been trying to get water up a hill in Dickens Co.

Robison Brothers pump. The kit cost about $2k. The well is about 100 ft deep and we've got the pump set at 88 foot.

Cottle County. SE panhandle, south of Childress.

No fracing in our area - that I know of.

Yep, reminds me of a windmill at our deer pasture, ours just runs into a stock pond. With the drought we are in that thing really helped the wildlife.

We got our first few pic's of what's been coming to visit. I know, its just a turkey. But, this is the first tom we have ever seen on our place since I started hunting it over 10 years ago!!!

We're having some trouble with our pump. That is why the big tank isn't full. But, we're at least getting enough to fill up the small tank.

If you have water, you WILL have Turkeys. Are those turkey out front of that feeder?
