Can a snake climb into your boat while you are trolling? Has anybody had this happen to them? Had a lot of snakes sneek up on me while I'm fishing from the left side of the boat. Was thinking they could probly sneek onto my boat and not know it. Believe me, when I move to another spot . I check my boat thoroughly before moving. Just wondering

Yes, especially if they're tired and looking for a place to rest.

yes

also, one of the worst things you can do is wack em with the rod tip... Break his skin and he is going to get out of the water as fast as he can, right into your boat which is the driest spot around.

Snakes are evil bastages that can get into places that you would swear would be impossible. Never ever underestimate a snake.

Well if a snake gets in my boat they will be a proud owner of a basscat, well unless my wife kills it 1st. Snakes and wasps will blow my skirt smile

We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?

Got into an epic battle with a snake while in a canoe one time... after about 15mins I was VERY TIRED but he was dead... It is HARD to hit a snake with a paddle, the paddle just shoots off to the side when it hits the water. And for the record I didn't flip the canoe. Snakes I can handle, but I gotta agree with Sleuth on the wasps. They don't fight fair.

My nephew was night fishing and hooked one on a crankbait and slung it into the boat thinking he had a bass.I have also had them climb up the motor.

I think they're good luck j/k

Over the years I've had a few snakes climb inthe back to sun on the back of the boat, ducks too and a few small gators even.

I just leave them be and they eventually leave....

Don't know about snakes, but whatever you do never swat at a passing bumble bee with your cap. My buddy's nickname is "bumble bee" and it happened 30 years ago at lake Limestone. He still gets nervous when he sees one, and I still laugh my a$$ off at his reaction.

A big YES!!!! ....had a Tx Diamondback Water snake (non-poisonous) make 3 quick attempts to get into bow of boat with me slapping rod on water by him, then circle to stern and easily climb into boat joining my brother, his dog and me. He slithered under the drivers seat and we took him home in the boat despite soaking gas rags around it to flush him out. We found him dead in my front yard two week later. No we were not drinking alcohol.

Never had it happen and hope I never do. Heard of them falling out of trees into boats a few times.

If it rattles its a rattle snake but if it don't then its a cobra! Snake in my boat and they can have it. Caught a snake the other day, bit my craw, and as far as I know he is still fishing with my citica!
