Hello everyone. I mentioned a few times that I have a little technique that I use for unloading and loading my kayak by myself, and since I had the day off, I thought I would make a little tutorial.

Since my two roof rack bars sit so close together, it makes it easy for me to wedge my kayak between the Malone Sea Wings. From there, I simply slide the kayak up and down. I position the Malone Sea Wings on the passenger side of my roof rack, this way, my kayak never touches or scratches my car when I am loading and unloading it.

Hopefully this will give some of you guys an idea of how to approach the loading and unloading process. You may need to make some DIY adjustments, of course, but it shouldn't be too hard to formulate your own method.

Before I start the process, I secure a tie-down between the two Malone Sea Wings. This helps the kayak to slide up and down more easily.

I thought I would go ahead and take a quick shot of my rod rack as well. I used two Berkley Locking Racks, and I simply bolted them to the top of my car rack bars. Works pretty well.

Great tutorial. But how do you move that fast?

Love it. Just wish I could have paused it since my old eyes can't keep up with you. Great job!!!! I'm going to check out that brand of racks...do they just hook on the underside of the window frames? Very cool and thanks for sharing.
