Mariner Sails and the White Rock Boat Club will proudly be hosting the Hobie Factory Kayak team for kayak demonstrations at White Rock Lake on Saturday, April 7th, from 10am until 4pm. Also on hand will be Shaun Russell and Robbie Milam, our Mariner Hobie Pro Fishing Team members. We will have all of the Hobie Kayaks available to paddle, peddle and SAIL at the White Rock Boat Club so come on out and try something NEW!

The White Rock Boat Club is located at 340 E. Lawther Drive, Dallas, TX 75214. You will need to enter the park via the Mockingbird Lane ramps. For questions, other information, or directions, please call the store at 9721/241-1498.

Mike, you get my hopes up ... then you crush them!!! cry The original posting had this at Grapevine! laugh May still have to try to make it ... even if it means dealing with the weekend construction.

Do you have an idea of the yaks ya'll are bringing to the GTG?

I had my calendar set for Oak Grove Park at Lake Grapevine too.

White Rock will be a little trickier.

I'll have to wait for the Grapevine GTG the next week.

LPF...sorry about the move. We wanted to have the event at Grapevine but some permit "red tape" got in the way. My bad...I shouldn't have let the proposed location out of the bag until it was confirmed.

Just man up and drive over to the East side of Dallas. It isn't that far to drive, it is a beautiful little lake and you just might be very surprised at some of the nice fish caught at WRL. Gutcheck was having pretty good success out there tonight. (Maybe I had better shut up and not share his secret!).

Mike,

Just messin' with ya ... actually I was kind of surprised that the original location wasn't WRL. Hope to make it, with Easter and all its gonna be a hectic weekend, but we will do our best. I'm really wanting to try out the two Revolutions as I think that is tops on my "next yak list", even if its probably going to be later this year before I can pull the trigger.

Looking forward to making another Thursday night paddle with you guys now that the days are getting longer. May have to mix the paddle in with some fishing until the Thursday night concerts begin.

Terry

Not because I have a little Hobie bias . . . but . . . I honestly have been totally impressed with both the new Revo 11 and the Quest 11. Neither one performs as you would expect for such a short yak. They actually feel as if they are twelve or thirteen feet long.

I also have similar good feeling with the new Ride 115. It is hardly sitting down in the water and really has a lot of get-go while still having amazing stability.

FYI - we would have preferred a different weekend but this was the only open weekend that Steve and Lisa could join us.

Hope you can make it out to WRL.

I'll second that for the Quest 11! I've fished out of this boat with Shaun and Tom out at the Ray Hubbard River. I was highly impressed.

Do you have to be a member of The White Rock Boat Club to attend? I will be down that way that weekend, and I'm looking to buy first Kayak. This seems like a great opportunity to learn about kayaking.

Mike,

I'm wanting to check out a tandem. Will you have all of those out there? Thinking this will be the best bet for my son and I.

Robbie, you will want to test paddle the Hobie Kona. This versatile tandem quickly converts to a single and would be a perfect match for you and Hayden. You could leave the two seats in their normal position and still have room for a small third party in the center. All of this in a 12' kayak.

It's getting closer everyone. Come on out and play with the Hobie line of kayaks for free.
