Going to be spending the night in Decatur on saturday night? Is there any good places to eat up there? There used to be a decent steakhouse on top of hill right off 287 that was decent? Haven't been up that way but once in years and only stopped to get gas at 5:30 in the morning on the way to Amon Carter!

So what says the OT, what is worth eating up there now days?

You thinking sweetie pies rib eyes? Or cow camp steak house?

If you want seafood, head to Go go Gumbo. It's fantastic. But if you aren't there by 6-630 you'll be waiting a while

I sure don't know but I do remember one restaurant that would cook my frog legs for me. In the late 60s people were pretty helpful.

There are a some really good places to eat in the downtown square. I do not think you will be disappointed with any of them.

There's a new place on 287 just north of town by that Catfish Charlie's place, its called Bono's, its pretty good and good eye candy too. They might have some live entertainment too. Look up The Wistle Stop, its on Bus. 287 and only open for lunch, it's probably one of the best burger places in the state. The places on the square, meh.

Neither one of those places sound familiar, it was on the left as you were going North on 287! It was on top of a hill once you passed it, you went down a long hill and then you were going out of Decatur going toward's Bowie!

I know we are not going to make it up there by 6-6:30, lucky if we leave Crowley by 6-6:30.

It look's like Sweetie Pies is the favorite so far!
