Depends on who you ask. I would look at the features of both and decide which is best for you.

For me It's the MinnKota Talon. Self contained, Easy to Install, Easy to Remove for safety and when not needed, More holding force, Automatic Deployment and Retraction. Built in Wave Absorption, and Rough Water Mode.

If you don't need the anchors everyday with Talon you can install and remove and use only as needed or switch to another boat quickly. I use one set between Bass Boat and Duck Boat. But the thing I have learned these poles when running down the lake create air drag and reduce miles per hours approx 3-5 mph which reduces fuel economy. With talons if I'm fishing deep offshore I leave them at home to save fuel and get better fuel economy.

If you have questions on Talons be glad to help!

Have you seen the new Tilt Brackets makes it easy to get under low clearances!

Talon all the way baby,.....on wire hook up, no pump, no mechanical ' praying mantis' arms to bend, snag, or wear.

I cut my power cable and hooked it up to an 8 gauge bps trolling motor plug ,....mounted the female end in the splash well,.....its now removable in about 20 seconds ! !

Your gonna like it ! ! real quick deploy and retrieve,.....two remotes etc etc.

I think i`m gonna get another one ! !

Call MK Customer Service they have been working with those that have the original brackets if they have changed.

The Tilt Brackets are now available and can be added to any Talon with a Sandwich or Jackplate bracket.

Thanks for the input. Just ordered a pair and they should be here in a few days. Now if someone could teach me how to catch fish on Bull Shoals i would be set.

Called MK they are shipping me a new bracket for free, just need to get it installed and return the old one. Also ordered a tilt bracket for those low bridges and walkways. Thanks MK for treating your customers right.
