I get e-mail from Xpress pretty regularly but like most mass e-mails, rarely ever read them. I decided to read the one I got today, naturally it had a link to their website, it had been a while since I had been to there so I clicked on the icon and to take a look. They have revamped it and are now diplaying their rigs with prices. I had never really looked at their boats that much on the web, just figured they were just as expensive as their fiberglass/composite counterparts....not the case. These boats are priced roughly what fiberglass rigs were selling for 10+ years ago, their most expensive rig is only $32k and change. I don't really know a whole lot about aluminum bass rigs, but these boats might be worth a little investigation......... http://xpressboats.com/view/bass

Xpress boats are awesome and arguably the best aluminum bass boat out there. My bud (6'7 and dang near 400lbs) has a ~17fter with a 115 on the back. He loves it. I fished with him one tourney and it seemed really nice. It did ride a little to one side, but then again he's a hefty fella. I also know a guy that has a 200 with a hydrolic jack plate. I have no idea how fast it goes, but going by what people have said that rode in it, it was an awesome ride.

I really like the way the rigs look, like the boat trailers too, all aluminium. These have to be some of the lightest rigs to tow around. I work with guys that have owned or fish with guys that own these boats and they all say they are blistering fast. I just wonder how the finish holds up against stumps and how stable a fishing platform they are...........

I have an 18' CC. It's a flatbottom with a 96" beam and as stable as any glass boat. With my 115 it will do 50. Very strong and fishes great!

I am also an Xpress owner. I have an 04 - H-51 with a Yamaha 90. It has been a bullet proof little boat. You can look at it and tell that I have done a lot of fishing on Fork/Gilmer/Caddo with all the scratches. I love the hyper lift hull. As far as the ride, it doesn't get much better in an aluminum rig than the Xpress Hyper lift hulls. They just cut water better with out the bounce like flat/smooth bottom does. I am farily certain my next boat will be an X-19. When I lived at lake Fork, my boss had an X-19 that I ran a lot. The hole shot was unreal for a stock 150 Yamaha and would top out around 58-60. It is the only 19 ft boat that I have ever rode/driven that did not feel like it was a little underpowered with a 150. I know you can hang a 200 on it, but it is not really needed unless you are a speed freak. They only drawback to it was, it is light and the wind will push you around a lot more than a glass rig. Only advice if buying a new boat is to put the biggest TM on it you can afford.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Only advice if buying a new boat is to put the biggest TM on it you can afford. I owned a Tracker aluminum rig for 2 years with a 60 hp Johnson. It was a kite in the wind but running down the lake, it could take beating like a 20 foot glass rig. I've been day dreaming about the X19. I'd like to have the 200, 51 years old and still speed freak. When I get to the point where I am actually able to purchase, I want to get a ride/drive in one of these boats......

I have a 96 H56 it is 18.5 feet and a 96in beam with the HyperLift hull. I have a 150 Merc on it with a jackplate and 24 pitch prop it scoots good enough for me. I am 6'2" 315lbs the boat is plenty stable. It was a little tail heavy when I got it so I moved my two trolling motor batteries to the front of the boat to help with that issue. If I could afford a new boat I would get the X21 with the 250 on it. It would still be light enough to tow with my truck and I bet that thing will scream on the water. I love my Xpress.
