Got off work so I'm going to Fork tomorrow. Winds are supposed to be SW 25-30mph (which really means 40+). Where would a guy put in and fish that is "somewhat" protected from the wind? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Big and Little Mustang will be somewhat protected from those wind directions. Glade should be too. Birch is another good choice but getting to it could be a little rough.

getting there will be "fun" depending on where you launch, but the area I call Alligator/Twin Creeks should be good if the direction is SW. This area is on the East side of Caney point a little up the lake.

I would recommend launching at Pope's on Big Mustang and get to fishing. There is enough water there to keep you busy all day and the ramps will be no issue in loading-unloading in that wind.

Put in at Minnow Bucket or Glade. Fish "Long Branch"!!!! Saw bunch of crusers so beds will follow soon. Should be just right.
