For all of us that have pursued so passionately the ever elusive 10 pound benchmark...I suggest this one for the cover! I don’t know this guy, I just know he is a buddy of Kens, but I think its pure GREATNESS!!!

I'll let Ken jump in with the details...But my understanding is, the guy never caught one over 10. Before lunch Ken had an 11 and a 12 {Typical Addington showing off again LOL!}!!! Some time after lunch this fish bit and the attched photo is his reaction as Ken was taking the pic!!! Just a very cool accomplishment for this guy and I know Ken was stoked as well for his buddy!

Great picture! Priceless reaction. I would be pumped up too, but I just couldn't count it in my own personal mind as a great accomplishment if I was fishing a pond. But this truly is an awesome picture.

Stax, I can't thank you enough for the kind words ...... and yes, I realize I looked like a complete goofball! Like everyone else that's searched for that fish, for 2 minutes.... she was finally mine..... to hold in my hands and then let go so someone else can have that same feeling. I didn't win any money, and no one from Bass Pro Shops called me for an endoresement deal (which they should have) ...... I simply got to spend the day with the best bass fisherman I know (Ken Addington) and the mad scientist of Jurrasic Park (Mike Frazier). For once, it was REALLY nice going home to my 6 year old son and saying "I caught a really big fish .... come look at these picutres!" That's it! My reaction was what everyone's should be when they catch their first fish of that size....... and if not, you need to find a different hobby! I'm not a great fisherman, but for one minute....... I got to feel GREAT! I will never be able to thank Ken Addington enough! Not only did he invite me to go fishing, but he coached me all day on the lake. The first hour on the water was brutally slow ....... no fish and a LOT of rain. Ken noticed the large amounts of baitfish on the surface and decided to switch baits. We brought almost nothing to the lake except jigs and lizards ...... he switched to one of the 2 spinner baits he had in his bag! 1st or maybe his second cast was the 11 pound fish! If we stick with lizards and jigs all day (like I would have) ..... I'm completely sure the picture above is never taken! These fish don't have to chase a lot of food, so the bite is extremely slow. All day, Ken kept telling me to slow the retrieve down...... I'm not sure the blades were spinning most of the time! But it worked...... for once, it worked! For all the fish I've ever had break off, bad hook sets, backlashed at the wrong time, and bent hooks...... just one time, she came to the boat! Thanks for the post Stax and thanks Ken for doing what you do! By the way, I've fished with Ken twice. He caught a 10 out of Fork on our last trip and an 11 and a 12 out of Camelot Bell..... am I good luck or what! I'm not sure luck has anything to do with Ken's fish ....... only mine, but like I said "Just One Time!" ......I'll take it!

I enjoy watching someone else catch fish so much if I had to go by myself, I would probably never go. Through the years I have probably assisted over 100 guys catch their PB. As a guide at Fork it was the most rewarding feeling of all to see someone get as excited as you did Craig. I'm glad I could be there with ya bro! As the man above said, I am truly blessed! Stax, your day will come bud.
