I fish a dock at Tawakoni that started producing fish last year in early spring. Can't wait for this year to begin. Last year was very good. Some years not so good. This is the only lake I usually fish. I'm wanting to start baiting some holes for crappie also. Have some already made, weather has not been cooperating. Will have them out next week. Wanting to know has anyone tried this and do they work? If anyone can help with conversation regarding where and how to catch crappie on Tawakoni please post. I will be posting my stories also. I know Tawakoni use to be the place to crappie fish and its not what it use to be but, there still has to be places you can still catch them. Thanks

I didn't get a chance to fish my spring spawn spots on Tawakoni last year because the lake was so low. I did pretty good in Mulberry cove the year before. I can't wait to find them this year.

Welcome aboard! Still a little early for docks imho...

The first week of February we caught over 70 in 2 days in a foot of water....they are biting good right now...you don't need to bait holes for crappie or any fish on Tawakoni....the fishing is so good its not even necessary....guess you just gotta know where to go....but it's not hard to figure out if you just get out there and go....I give you one tip....they are killing the crappie under the 2 mile bridge at the moment

Welcome to the board. Tawakoni is a great lake for Crappie and agree on the no need to bait holes.
