The Ray Hubbard Bass Club had our second tournament of 2012 last Saturday February 11th at Lake Winnsboro. Winnsboro is about 90 miles from our home base and of course Saturday dawned with temperatures in the mid 20's and winds from the north at 15-25. So of course we had our largest members only turn out ever. 23 boats! All I can say is you guys are all nuts. Fishing was tough for the most part but some guys caught them good. Here are the full results. Jay Messersmith (SnakeEyes) was doing TD duty. David Taylor weighed in a Winnsboro chunk. Jason and Tony only weighed one fish, but it was a nice 4.26 pounder. Vince Burt hefts their limit up to get weighed in. Alec Castonguay weighing in their 5 fish limit.

Cold, cold, cold but the fishing was good when you knocked the ice off. Running up lake in the morning, every bit of spray turn to ice and then I busted my butt on the ramp at the end of the day. But it was worth it. Great club.

We paid out 5 places and Mark and Vince got 5th with 5 for 10.41. Here's Mark collecting the winnings. Jack and Fly Scheel got 4th with 5 for 10.70. Tommy and Tony Climer got third with 5 for 12.76. Here's Tony with a nice fish. Shawn and Alec Castenguay got second with 5 for 13.89. David Simmons and Jared Fish blew the rest of the field away with a great 19.58 limit. Here's their two best fish. It was their first win! Congrats guys! Jared had big bass of the tournament as well with a 6.57 beast. Thanks to everyone that came out! I'm still amazed at our guys showing up in the numbers they did. Next month we go to Lake Bonham on Saturday March 10th! That's going to be a lot of fun. Come out and join us!

Way to go guys nice sack of fish. Tom, my prediction was only off by .42 lbs Yes, you said it would take 20 pounds to win. The morning of Mr. T Climer said 10 would win it. He also said if he showed up and there were 5 boats in the lot he was going home. His jaw dropped when I told them they were number 20.

Always like fishing Winnsboro, lots of solid fish in that lake. Good job on a cold day!

That would actually be just in time for Bonham, but I would agree he had a bang up start with us.
