Okay, maybe this isn't what you were expecting, but this is little bit of Texas history and good news for a lot of people here in North Texas. In case you didn't hear, last October, Fort Worth based Lockheed Martin and the Department of the Navy achieved a huge milestone for the Joint Strike Fighter program, which has been dogged by technical set backs. They landed an F-35B STOVL variant jet aboard the USS Wasp (LHD 1), making it the first time an F-35 landed aboard a ship. The jet would undergo a three week deployment aboard the USS Wasp (along with one more aircraft), and many people felt the future of the F-35B hinged on those ship trials.

In this photo, the F-35B known as BF-2 is turning into a line up with the USS Wasp for the historic first landing. Click here to see more photos and a video depicting that landing... Lone Star Chronicles - The Bird and the Boat

Sweet!
Now load it up with something that goes BOOM and drop that BOOM on a certain something/someone. I'm sure our Military knows where/who flag

Enjoyed the video, but that ain't much of a milestone. We were landing Harriers onto our flight deck (LPH-11) during the 80's
