In my opinion you can't beat a Pro Angler for the money.

In my opinion, the BnM Bucks Ultimate is very hard to beat. Check it out at: http://www.bnmpoles.com/p-104-bucks-ultimate.aspxI have fished with it for many years and it is one of the finest.

Berkley cherrywoods are nice for the money, very sensitive, lightweight beautiful rod, with good backbone. wallmart and academy carries them for around 20.00.

Pro Angler's are awesome, but my primary is a TICA.
Only place I know to get them locally is at a shop in FT. Worth.
If a Crappie breathes on the jig you will feel it. Maybe Dutch1947 can tell you the name of the shop...he got my TICA for me. My back up is a Pro Angler.

I think it was around $40-$60, but Dutch1947 is the one to ask...hopefully he can chime in to the name of the place to get them. They are a one piece rod so they don't break down, but I do prefer it as my primary Crappie catcher. I do believe it is a Saltwater rod, but the model I get is light and sensitive. A Crappie breathes on your jig and you will know it.
It is a tad late and my rod is over at his house, but I will get the name of the shop in Ft. Worth with a phone number, the specific model you want to get, and price put on here tomorrow.
Thanks for your patience.

Well if JD and Pat recommend them that's reason enough to try one. Both of them are some crappie catching fools.

Should be around $40
I don't think you will be disappointed. Yes, JD Slabslayer and Sac A Lait Pat are the Crappie Pro's!!
I think when I get a chance I am going to have them bless my rod and autograph it...hehe.

I don't think you will be disappointed. Yes, JD Slabslayer and Dutch 1947 are the pro's here, I am just someone who stumble on a fish from time to time. Look at the recent catches by the dynamic duo they clean house/timber at Tawokoni in Mid-depths with minimum backreeling

Don't make the drive to Olsens they sold their last 8' tica rod two days ago. They told me that the rod has been discontinued and is no longer available. They did however have 4 ea. 7 footers left. Nice rods. The guy at the store told me he hated to see that rod go as he'd sold over 500 in the last two years. He had 5 of the 8' and 9' in his personal arsenal.

Google TICA AMERICA...I am pretty sure this is the place that was making the TICA Rods. I was looking through their rods and they had a Medium Fast action rod Salmon Steelhead in 7'9" that looked good for Crappie fishing. I think they went too a two piece rod versus a one piece rod probably why it was discontinued in my opinion. I only browsed the rods you can download an entire catalog from them and I bet if you emailed them and told them what you wanted they could point you to whatever is replacing the 8' or to something similar. Sorry I missed the CAT meeting I'm in a plane at the moment enroute to Atlanta. :-)

I might go pick me up a few, if you cant feel a crappie on a berkley cherrywood, you must have stone hands.
