started tying my own crappie jigs this weekend, bought some multi colored chennil at hobby lobby but its like pipe cleaners I used it on some jigs and works pretty good because you just wrap it tight and pressed to gether with needlnose,couldnt find any decent maribou or fether there so I went to academy and got silicone skirt replacemnts for tails any one else ever built them this way? let me know thanks guys and gals

Never have used the pipe-cleaner stuff from Hobby Lobby.... have looked at it...but passed.. Just wasn't sure how well it would tie off with the thread? Post a pic of your creation!!

It will work and the Pearl Chrystal is god looking only thing you have to really tie and glue it down so it doesn't roll around on the hook shank.
