Anyone ever own one of the fine vehicles? I had a Pinto and it was not good.

Came close. Had the 74 Vega...not the 71. Bought it new, kept it for a year and traded it for a 1975 Chevy Monza with the 305 in it. I loved that little car. Sold it 2 1/2 years later to a young guy who totaled it. ( it was FAST for what it was) It still sits in the back yard of his mom's rural home.

My uncle has a vega wagon, don't remember the year, with a 427 in it. scary fast.

Surprised they don't have the Chevy Corvair in there.

Gremlin was the first new car I ever bought. Had a ball in that little v8 hot rod. Traded it for an underpowered 6 cyl half ton f100 which was one of the worst vehicles ever made.

My first car was a used 1971 Vega. Best freakin 200.00 I ever spent. Put 40,000 more miles on that sucka and it never left me stranded. Even got some nookie in it!

Loved my 74 Mercury Capri. with the 2800 motor it would scream. Plus remove the shifter and you had plenty of room infront to do anything your mom and dad didn't want you to do.

Don't forget the Pontiac Persisan!

Studebaker Lark should have been on the list I never owned but had a girlfriend who did.

The American Motors Pacer was ugly as sin. It was supposed to be designed to get better fuel milage but all the glass made it so heavy it guzzled gas.

I thought the Pacer was cool.

I had a 74 Vega wagon. My dad bought it out of junkyard to be my first car. He and buddy rebuilt the engine. He had a grand total of $400 tied up in it.

Couldn't drive it in stop & go traffic because the clutch would overheat and stop working.

The only positive was that it was wagon which meant that the rear seat folded down and made room for romance.

It took me one summer to save enough for a '78 Trans Am.
