On the 20th of feb, i wanna take my fiance fishing for her first time i wanna head out to port aransas or jfk causeway but i wanna put her on some fish, does anyone have any reports on what's biting and what kind of bait to use, if i can get some feedback would appreciate it.

Without a boat I would think that the "crash channels" off of the JFK would be pretty good for black drum right now. Possibly the Packery Channel for sheepshead.
