I'll be down @ CCAD for 2 weeks in March. Any reports from this lake. I will be boatless so will be banking it. Gonna get in on a little saltwater fishing as well.

Hey there. For fresh water, Right now Lake Mathis (Lake Corpus Christi) is real low. Most boat ramps are closed, so boatless works. Try getting to the north end of the lake through Swinney Switch. Theres a bridge over the top of the lake that you can get around to fish there. The annual White Bass spawn is on and oftentimes the Crappie are moving with them. I've caught some this week and last while fishing for whites. The Hwy 59 bridge in George West is within reach of you and decent bank fishing on the Nueces river can be found there. Just up 281 from George West is the Live Oak County Park. Good bank access to the river (the Nueces flows into Lake Corpus Christi). You can pick up minnows in Swinney, George West, or Three Rivers.

For Salt, I've always had fun at the Jetties down in Port Aransas. You never know what you'll catch out there, and if you've got limited equipment since your travelling, it works out well.
