The triton is ready for the season. $1800 spent and, the motor is serviced, plugs replaced, water pump replaced, and a bunch of broken tidbits fixed. The life of a bayboat is tough and once a year TLC is expensive. I remember when I gave up motorcyles and started the safer hobby of fishing. At that time, I thought Harleys were expensive. I know better now.

Oh well, once I'm clearing the POC little jetty with a salty breeze in my face and a day full of possiblity in front of me, I will quickly forget the money spent.

Yeah, but it's all worth it once you get out there with friends and/or family and start catchin' fish.

I wonder if I concentrated real hard, loaded up the boat and zipped across the lake tomorrow in this 25 degree weather, if it would feel like it's 85 outside???

After my 2nd boat crapped out, I made my wife promise me that she'd hit me over the head with a hammer if I ever tried to buy another boat. Scary thing is, I'm afraid she'd keep her promise.

I did all the major fixing in November, about $4K worth. Putting in new electronics this coming weekend and putting in some much needed time on the trailer. I took her out for a trip to Matagorda island once this winter and we took her out for a sight seeing cruise. I'm dying to hit the big salt NOW!
