we used a foster's can for beer can turkey, it turned out well. we just split it in half and bbq these days, it was tough trying to find a pit tall enough

coco, Didn't have any problem fitting it in mine. Just lowered the rack a bit.

Injected with melted butter and a rub I threw together, brined, and been on there for a few hours. About time to go check the wood again.

Looks like Texas Roadhouse for a buddy's birthday. Meh.

Just about perfect.... dark smoke to the meat, its at 155. 5 more degrees to go to rest.

Oh noes... a wing just fell off in transfer out of the smoker into the pan.

i made that on wednesday, but instead of verde, i used a chipotle sourcream sauce.

I am home alone. My wife's out at the daughters till later and the youngest is at work so I thought I'd just throw something together. I'll call it a stew.

Took and boiled a whole chicken and then picked all the meat off and put it aside. I cut up some potato, onion, carrot, squash, zucchini, celery and bell peppers and added a cup of rice to the pot.
As it got going I added the chicken and a couple bouillon cubes and a couple cloves of garlic.

Its done but I made too much. I hope Jackie does not get mad at me.

Micro wave cheese burger, single serving corn and green beans and laxative salad* at work tonight.


*Chopped carrots, cauliflower, celery, cabbage, and green pepper with 1000 Island. Eat a cup of that and you got enough roughage to clean out you entire system.

Had some grilled quail at Gloria's and 4-5 too many margaritas.

Wound up going to Zio's and having the shrimp and prosciutto alfredo. Darned good.

I made chicken verde enchiladas last night.

Gonna have NY Strip with twice baked taters tonight. Leftovers on Sunday.
