I'm looking to pick up another one, like I really need it.. I'm thinking about a Berkely Lightning Rod, in a M/L action. all I have right now are Ugly Sticks. Yeah, I know, but I get hung on something and go whole hog with it. I think there are meds for that, but I'm not sure I want to take them. My wife may differ.. LOL Just wondering what you guys think about those.

I'm also wondering about a reel(spinning). I have a Shimano Sedona 2500 that is pretty sweet, and I 'm hesitant to go smaller because I've heard of line winding problems with the smaller spools. Thinking about a Shimano Sahara 2500, just to try one out. I'm wondering about Abu. What are your thoughts on the Abu spinning reels? I have a couple of Abu baitcasters and I love them, but I havn't picked up one of their spinners except to do touchy-feely in the store. Does Abu make a good spinning reel, or should I just stay with my tried and true Shimanos? I've thought about going down one size to the 2000 but don't know if I should.

We've recently had a few topics based on this same question. My personal favorite bream rod (and the best out there IMHO) is a BPS Micro Lite Graphite rod: 6', Light power, one-piece rod. One of the best sunfish series of rods I've ever handled and the best sunfish rods for the money IMHO. The great components, light weight and sensitive feel of this rod make it the best IMO. My personal favorite UL (UL-M really) spinning reel is a Pflueger President XT. A combination of learning from past mistakes with all my past UL reels and the quality of this reel has taken all the frustration out of UL fishing for me. Very smooth reel; smooth reliable drag; tough as nails.

Have a look at these topics from the panfish board when you get the chance.
Different Rods?
