I built a set of rod holders for my boat and thought i would pass it along to you guys. I lived on reelfoot lake in tenn for a few years and always saw people spiderrigging.

i went to lowes and found a garage storage hangers for $10 a piece. I had some extra wood from a deck project on the boat. I picked up 2 seat swivles at the flea market for cheap.

I know its not perfect but it seems to work. Let me know what you think. 2 sets of rod holders for $30 is not too bad.

I know they are on the back of the boat. I built them for catfishing but I figured some of the crappie guys might find them useful as well

Without being able to adjust the spacing. All your rod tips spider rigging will be less than 6" apart. You will be spending more time with tangles than fishing. Pray a whitebass doesnt grab one of your baits.
Prob work better for drifting for catfish as you could stagger the lines.

thanks for the comments. it is a work in progress. i usually dont fish more than 4 rods at a time so i think tangles should be at a minimum. the bases swivel and i used a hole saw to make holes to vertically store the rods for transport
