If your on a time limit, go fish Oso Bay which is close to the Campus. Fish the CC Bay side along the channel or underneath the bridge. Use a slider rig using fresh dead-shrimp thread your shrimp through the hook and if it's live-shrimp do the same, but make sure to crack open the shell to create a scent trail.

If you have more time, go fish the Portland side at Indian point pier for Black Drum or Sheephead. Throw out for the Drum. Fish straight down for the Sheephead. There are some piles underneath that pier.

Definitely would fish the OSO if you are going to be at the university. If you go over the next bridge past campus and pull off you can wade along the channel that runs under the bridge and back into the OSO (inshore). I used to fish there a ton in HS and caught lots of trout on plastics. You can also try fishing the jetty pilings out in front of the school if it is calm.
