Does anyone have a head count for this Saturday the 11th? I am going to fish it, but 25-30 boats sure would make it fun.

They hope for mid 20's. Right now I have heard about 10 teams. I hope for a lot more.

Ouch.......Mid 20's should be great. I mean, ideally I would like to have 40 in there but of course that is wishful thinking. When there is only 10 boats, that is almost not worth it. I will say this.....there is probably a handful of people thinking the same thing that I am, therefore not even giving it a chance. I will be there if there is only 5! I hear Tyler has some nice chunks (some with a little blood on the tail) starting to run towards that shallow watter and escape the brush. Then again, they are in that strange phase of pre-spawn with this crazy East Texas weather. If we get a warm spell, that would suffice. So would 4 ft of rain! Lets get a good group guys, and have a good time a Lake Tyler for JC Outdoors!

If all these people asking how many will be there, will actually show up themselves and fish... then they will know how many was there. There isn't a early sign up/pre-entry, so you will not know until you get there. Besides that, only one team can win it, whether there are 50 teams or 2 teams show up...lol

Thats pretty much what I was saying. I know talk is cheap....just show up. I was just trying to see if anybody was talking about it. We all know one team can win it, but man it's tough when you have a mess of fish and they only place two. When a 25+ stringer doesn't place in the money.....it's tough. If everybody looks at it like that, then they will show up! It's not about the money, but it sure makes a nice additional bonus to the hobby/sport/lifestyle!

I have caught 19-20lbs stringers several times and have not got a check. I have fished in some opens on lake Tyler and had 20lbs and was in 7th+ place. That is just how it goes sometimes.

Yeah, you are right......I have been there before. I guess I am just going to have to get about a 35lb stringer. With a big bass of 12.57 just to go ahead and get a record in there for fun.
